How We Started

Born from a Passion for Wildlife

Udawalawa Wild Eye Safari began with a simple dream: to share the raw beauty of Sri Lanka's wildlife with the world while ensuring the park's ecosystems remain protected. Founded by a group of local naturalists, we've grown from a single jeep operator to a premier safari destination.

Our founders were raised in the villages surrounding Udawalawe. They grew up watching the elephants cross the lake and hearing the calls of the eagles. This deep-rooted connection to the land is what makes our safaris different.

We follow strict park guidelines to minimize noise and disturbance.

Expert Led

Our Mission

To inspire a deeper appreciation for nature through immersive, educational, and sustainable wildlife adventures that benefit both our guests and the local community.

  • Supporting local conservation projects
  • Educating young travelers about biodiversity
  • Maintaining 100% plastic-free tours

Our Vision

To be the global benchmark for ethical wildlife tourism in Sri Lanka, where conservation and adventure coexist in perfect harmony.

We envision a future where Udawalawe remains a safe haven for elephants and where every visitor leaves as an ambassador for wildlife protection.
